Oh, I’m sorry. Yes, I’m from the Cult of Essential oil users- but hey- in my defence, I was doing it before it was cool, man.
I’m the first to bless the gods of modern pharmaceuticals for acute conditions. Headache coming on, dear lord, get me the pain killers. Cold (brag time- not one in the last five years) dope me up! I won’t think twice about anti-biotics, anti-depressants- whatever floats your boat.
But I will always turn to natural solutions, if not first, at least in conjunction with modern medicine. Essential oils have been part of my arsenal for over 20 years and I love the gentle support they bring to my life.
Childhood secret- I always wanted to be a witch. Even now, I get great delight in blending oils- or mixing potions as I like to tell my children. I’m going to share my three favourite blends. I have these made up, diluted in coconut oil and in roller balls ready to go, but I’ll also diffuse them for extra oomph. Now, I didn’t come up with these blends and a bit of internet research will help you discover many more blends, but these are my favourites. These are diluted for adult strength, if you want to use them on children, halve the dose of oils at least and do further research for anyone younger please. I generally place them on the wrist, bottom of feet and on the neck as needed.
